The Counseling Assistance and Referral Services are available to all benefits
eligible staff and faculty of the University of New Mexico and their families.
Domestic Partners are also eligible for the services. If you are in doubt about
whether you are eligible for services, please call us and we can answer your
questions.
To call for advice or to schedule an appointment, telephone
(505) 272-6868 or simply dial 2-6868 from within the university
between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
The Counseling Assistance and Referral Services staff will make
every effort to schedule appointments that are convenient for
you. Remember: you are allowed work time to attend your CARS
appointments.
A staff member will schedule an appointment for
you with one of the CARS clinicians, as soon as possible, at
a time convenient for you. If you have a concern, do not hesitate
to call the Counseling Assistance and Referral Services at 272-6868. Please
do not use e-mail to request your appointment, as the internet
is not a confidential means of communication. The Counseling
Assistance and Referral Services program does not provide counseling
via e-mail.
